Samantha (Sami) Saltzman is a seasoned theater director who infuses her productions with a unique blend of escapist entertainment and heartfelt storytelling.

She has worked at the Associate and Resident director level to maintain and transfer landmark Broadway productions to National and International tours. From placing over 40 new actors into the Broadway production and 1st National Tour of Matilda the Musical to playing an integral part in the Mandarin translation process for Phantom of the Opera, Sami is known for her ability to tackle ever-changing and unwieldy creative challenges with tenacity and kindness.

As a director, Sami has fostered the growth of countless new musicals regionally and across NYC. Her directing has ranged from fringe showcase productions to major galas and events featuring A-list celebrity talent. Inspired by her Las Vegas roots, she has a knack for utilizing elements of spectacle to deepen and further the story being told.

Sami’s career has taken her to England, China, South Korea, Mexico, Canada, and across the United States. She is a long-time artistic collaborator with the Drama League and New York Musical Theater Festival and has worked at some of the most prestigious venues around the world including the Shubert Theatre, Brooks Atkinson Theater, Dominion Theatre, Radio City Music Hall, New York City Center, New World Stages, and The Public Theater.
